# 430 Golden View - For up to 2 people.

This apartment is not suitable for toddlers and young children as it is located on the top floor.

Golden View is a 4-storey property where each apartment is privately owned. Despite being a large complex of apartments, Golden View is never crowded because many of the apartment owners do not rent their properties out, therefore they are only occupied periodically when they holiday there themselves.

Set within 5 acres of landscaped tropical gardens, facilities include a 25 metre freshwater swimming pool and a poolside bar & Chinese restaurant which also offers a take-away service.

THE LOCATION:-

Located in a quiet residential avenue in Sunset Crest within the parish of St. James on Barbados' beautiful ‘platinum’ west coast, the superb white sandy beaches - washed by the crystal-clear blue waters of the Caribbean Sea - are only a 6 minute walk away.

Many water sports including scuba diving and snorkelling are available locally.

Several local tennis courts are available for hire and 2 world-class golf courses - The Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane - are within easy reach.

An excellent selection of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets are located in Sunset Crest & Holetown. Other amenities including the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre - with its shops, cafes & cinemas, plus lots more - bars, banks, a supermarket, medical centres, a Post Office, cyber cafe and an air-conditioned shopping mall - with duty free shops - are also within easy walking distance.

THE ACCOMMODATION:-

# 430 Golden View is an attractive apartment located on the 3rd (top) floor on the end of the block. It is situated at the other end of the gardens from the pool and restaurant.

The spacious lounge/dining room has doors (with a sliding insect screen) that open out to the private balcony – with pull-down blinds, a table and partially reclining armchairs - overlooking the gardens and offering fabulous views of the Caribbean Sea and tropical sunsets.

Facilities include a dining table and 4 chairs, coffee tables, a sofa, 2 rattan chairs, a hi-fi CD player, a DVD player and a TV (local channel only until 1^st February 2012. Cable TV from that date). There are ceiling fans, a portable standing fan and a telephone - for accepting incoming calls and making outgoing local calls - which are free.

The kitchen includes an electric oven & hob, a microwave, large fridge-freezer, a toaster, coffee maker, an iron & ironing board, crockery, cutlery and glassware.

The air-conditioned bedroom offers 2 single divan beds, a ceiling fan, wardrobes, bedside tables and lamps, fitted units and an en suite shower/w.c. room. A hairdryer is provided for guests' use.

The reception desk at Golden View is manned on a 24-hour basis. There are 2 elevators and a communal coin-operated laundry for guests' use.

A library room with several tables and chairs, leaflets, books, games and jigsaws is located next to the laundry room. Wireless Internet access is available in the library room and you can also access it in the reception area as well as in the gardens.

Golden View has a large car park to the rear, should guests wish to hire a vehicle during their stay.

A friend of the owners will give you a warm welcome on your arrival at # 430 and she will be happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding your stay in Barbados.

A pre-arranged transfer from Grantley Adams Airport to Golden View. (Approx. 40 minute drive. BDS$ 65-BDS$ 80).

RESTRICTIONS:-

No pets.

No smoking in the apartment.

HOW TO BOOK/TERMS & CONDITIONS:-

Credit card payments are not accepted at this time. (This is in order to keep the rates low and to avoid high bank charges for this small business).

A deposit cheque (or Banker's Draft/International Money Order if you are not resident in the UK) for 25% is required to secure a booking.

Once I have received your deposit payment I will send you a Booking Confirmation, together with my 'Car Hire' and 'Before you Travel' information.

A cheque (or Banker's Draft/International Money Order if you are not resident in the UK) for the balance will be required 8 weeks prior to your arrival at # 430 Golden View.

Should the booking be made less than 8 weeks prior to the arrival date at the accommodation, the full payment will be due.

Full payment must be completed before your stay commences. Therefore, any ‘late’ bookings must be made and finalised no less than 10 days prior to your arrival at # 430 Golden View.

The following cancellation charges apply:-

Cancellation more than 8 weeks prior to the arrival date - Loss of deposit.

Cancellation less than 8 weeks prior to the arrival date – Loss of 100% of the total cost.

As with all holidays, travel insurance is strongly recommended.

10 to 14 days before you arrive in Barbados you will receive a useful information pack that includes maps and many general tips designed to help you get the most out of your holiday.
