THE LOCATION:- Located in Fitts Village* - within the parish of St. James - on the beautiful ‘platinum’ west coast of Barbados, this property is just 80 metres from the beach and the clear turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. There is a small auto-mart within a few minutes walk and a supermarket is a 5 minute drive away. There is a deli in the shopping complex by the supermarket and it is open for breakfast and lunch. The airport is a 30 minute drive and the bustling capital of Bridgetown is 20 minutes away by car. A 10 minute drive north will bring you to all of the amenities in Sunset Crest & Holetown. Buses run frequently from the stops that are a short walk from Fidji Beach House and they have a set rate of BDS$ 1.50 (50p) to any destination in Barbados. Although not essential, a car is highly recommended for you to get the most out of your holiday. Many rental companies operate in Barbados should you wish to hire a vehicle during your stay and taxis are readily available. Several tennis courts are available for hire and 2 world-class golf courses - The Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane - are within easy reach. * Fitts Village is a fishing area which extends towards the neighbouring Paynes Bay Fishing Market. It also boasts a very select group of restaurants, including Il Tempio which overlooks the Caribbean Sea. This place of fine dining is the only Italian restaurant in the district and is just one of a few Italian restaurants in all of Barbados.
The Fitts Village area contains several reefs, and with clear blue waters, it is good for snorkelling. Occasionally you may spot a turtle surfacing for a breath of air. The
beaches along the west coast are excellent for swimming. This is typically a
quiet beach, and it is the ideal spot to relax with a good book under the shade
of a tree or
enjoy the sea and sun. Picnic benches are scattered among the Casuarina trees lining the shore, and to the north is a small, open esplanade.

THE ACCOMMODATION:-
The well-equipped kitchen includes an oven & hob, a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and an iron & ironing board.
W ashing lines, a washing machine and outdoor shower are located in the shared patio area that separates Bibian’s Beach House and Fidji Beach House. A charcoal BBQ is also available.The house has white ceramic tiles throughout and is tastefully decorated with cane furnishings. Other facilities include a TV (local channel only), a CD player, radio, DVD player, a hairdryer and a telephone – for accepting incoming calls and making outgoing local calls – which are free. A small safe is also provided for guests' valuables.
The rates shown above include all taxes, gas, electricity (including air-conditioning) linen and towels (including beach towels). THE ABOVE RATES (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE SPECIAL OFFERS) ARE REDUCED BY £ 14.00 PER NIGHT WHEN FIDJI BEACH HOUSE IS BOOKED TOGETHER WITH BIBIAN'S BEACH HOUSE. OPTIONAL EXTRAS:- A pre-arranged taxi transfer from Grantley Adams Airport to Fidji Beach House (Approx. 40 minutes transfer time). Maid/laundress service: US$ 30 per day (payable locally). (This is in order to keep the rates low and to avoid high bank charges for this small business). A deposit cheque or Banker's Draft for 25% is required to secure a booking. Please note that deposit payments are non-refundable. Once I have received your deposit payment, I will send you a Booking Confirmation together with some car hire details which include a 10% discount on selected car rentals. A cheque or Banker's Draft for the balance will be required 8 weeks prior to the date of your arrival at Fidji Beach House. As with all holidays, travel insurance is strongly recommended. 10 to 14 days before you arrive in Barbados you will receive a useful information pack that includes unique offers for use on my friends’ personalised boat trips, as well as maps and many general tips designed to help you get the most out of your holiday.GUEST BOOK. Hi Irene, "We all had the most wonderful time at Bibians and Fidji Beach Houses. It was all absolutely perfect. We made full use of the lovely veranda overlooking the beach at Bibians, cooking local fish on the BBQ every night bought from the local fish market. We had monkeys visiting us every day and had a turtle come right in - swimming up to the beach in front of us. My granddaughter helped the local fisherman rescue their sprats from the nets right on the beach. The houses were traditional and cosy and Rudy was on call if needed".
