Pool at Porters Court# 5 Porters Court is one of just 8 secluded, privately owned villas set within their own tranquil and secure landscaped tropical gardens. The villas are centred around an attractive communal swimming pool complete with a sun deck, loungers and sunshades.

# 5 enjoys a stunning position directly next to the pool.

THE LOCATION:-

Located on the beautiful ‘platinum’ west coast of Barbados in the parish of St. James, Porters Court is less than 200 metres from the white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Many water sports, including scuba diving and snorkelling are available locally. There are several tennis courts available for hire, and for golf enthusiasts, two of the finest courses in the Caribbean – The Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane - are within easy reach.

The famous Lone Star Restaurant is just a short walk away, as is the world-renowned Royal Pavilion Hotel where you can sample the superb food and first class service on offer in the beach-front restaurant – an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Alternatively, you can just chill out with a cool drink and a bite to eat in Ju Ju's beach bar.

You will find amenities such as bars, banks, a supermarket, post office, medical centres, a cyber cafe and an air-conditioned shopping mall with duty free shops in Sunset Crest & Holetown - just a short bus/car journey/half hour walk away - plus an excellent selection of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Several of the bars and restaurants have tables overlooking the sea – these are ideal locations for a cooling cocktail at sundown or a romantic meal. On the way from Porters Court to Holetown you will find a few bars - the famous Groots Bar & Restaurant is a 20 minute walk away.

THE ACCOMMODATION:-

 

Veranda# 5 Porters Court has been built to a traditional chattel house style with polished hardwood floors, high pickled pine ceilings and coral lights.

 

This is a modern, luxurious villa with a range of additional facilities provided to make you feel at home. There is air-conditioning throughout and there are ceiling fans in every room.

Dining Area & KitchenThe comfortable, spacious lounge/dining/kitchen area opens out via 2 sets of double doors to the L-shaped veranda that overlooks the pool. It is furnished with a ceiling fan, a table, chairs and a BBQ. This is the perfect place for al fresco dining or peaceful relaxation watching the hummingbirds flitting between the exotic plants. You may also catch sight of the monkeys at dawn and dusk.

Living AreaInside the villa, the lounge is furnished with a dining table & 4 chairs, a sofa & 2 armchairs, flat screen Cable TV, a DVD and CD player, a stereo system and a telephone for accepting incoming calls and making outgoing local calls - which are free. A wireless Broadband connection is also available for guests.

The modern fitted kitchen includes a Miele washer/dryer and dishwasher, a cooker, large fridge/freezer, a toaster, a filter/Espresso coffee maker, a steam iron and ironing board plus crockery, cutlery and glassware.

A powder room with a w.c. and hand basin is adjacent to the kitchen area.

 

Both of the large bedrooms are attractively decorated.

 

Master BedroomThe master bedroom offers a queen size bed, a large wardrobe and ample shelf space, a chest of drawers, a digital safe, bedside tables and lamps and a dressing table – complete with a hairdryer - and an en suite bath/shower/w.c. room. This bedroom has direct access to the veranda.

 

There is a small study area where a selection of books and board games are located.

 

2nd BedroomThe second bedroom is adjacent to the study area and it offers a queen size bed, an ample wardrobe and shelf space, bedside tables and lamps, a dressing table - complete with a hairdryer - and an en suite bath/shower/w.c. room.

 

A folding bed (1m x 2m) can be provided if required.

 

There is a private car port should you wish to hire a car during your stay.

 

Nearby Alleynes BayYour housekeeper, Veronica, will give you a warm Bajan welcome on your arrival at # 5 Porters Court. Please do not hesitate to ask her any questions regarding your stay in Barbados.

 Up to 2 people sharing 1 bedroom: £ 110.00 per night.

     2 to 4 people sharing 2 bedrooms: £ 135.00 per night.

                            5 people: £ 155.00 per night.

  

 19th December -
2nd January

  

Up to 4 people: £ 250.00 per night.

      5 people: £ 270.00 per night.

 

3rd January -
30th April

 

Up to 2 people sharing 1 bedroom: £ 150.00 per night.

                   Up to 4 people: £ 175.00 per night.

                          5 people: £ 195.00 per night.

 

 

The rates shown above include all taxes, maid service (twice a week), electricity (including air-conditioning), linen and towels (including beach towels).

 

Additional maid service can be arranged if required.

OrchidA pre-arranged transfer from Grantley Adams Airport to Porters Court. (Approx. 40 minute drive. BDS$ 65-BDS$ 80).

A welcome pack of basic groceries (provisioned to your specification) can be ordered beforehand and will be delivered to the villa prior to your arrival.

Credit card payments are not accepted at this time. (This is in order to keep the rates low and to avoid high bank charges for this small business).

A deposit cheque or Banker’s Draft for 25% is required to secure a booking.

Please note that deposit payments are non-refundable.

Once I have received your deposit payment I will send you a Booking Confirmation.

A cheque or Banker’s Draft for the balance will be required 8 weeks prior to the date of your arrival at Porters Court.

As with all holidays, travel insurance is strongly recommended.

holiday from the villa owner, Denise, to check that everything was going

Rudy at Ballantyne's car hire was a lovely guy and very helpful. We would definitely highly recommend them & see why you use them when you're out there !

We spent much of the holiday exploring the island & the many beaches...
and enjoying the amazing restaurants most evenings - although we did
manage to have a barbeque ‘at home’ on one evening. We also squeezed in a visit to Sunbury plantation house, a wildlife park, the Barbados museum
and the Mount Gay Rum Tour... and also tagged a quick trip round the
Concorde Experience in before flying home on Wednesday evening ! There
was so much to do on the island, so I can definitely see that we'll need
to go back.....

So thank you again for your last minute help in organising our wonderful
holiday. We will complete and send you our questionnaire in the next few days.

We hope to be booking with you again in another couple of years - I already have a couple of friends interested in your website
ready for when they plan their next Caribbean trips in the future... and

We had a marvellous time at # 5 Porters Court.  We felt like it was home away from home (especially when my wife saw the ‘White Company’ towels.) The landscaping, pool and vegetation was a treat.

The villa was very clean and well appointed. Veronica was extremely pleasant and a real people person.

The villa was fitted out with everything we needed, down to tennis balls for beach cricket ! The neighbours were friendly, quiet and all round super people.

Our sense of security was such that we never found it necessary to set the alarm system - though having the safe was an essential part of this (my laptop could fit nicely into it.)

By the way, access to free WiFi was a big selling point for me.

You even thoughtfully arranged for perfect weather !

Lastly, in our dealings with you we have always felt that you were primarily interested in our holiday and not just an agent at the other end of the line, hopefully, we'll be able to do this all over again.
