The Paynes Bay Apartments :-

SUNBEAMS - GROUND FLOOR APARTMENT : For up to 6 people

SUNDANCE - UPPER FLOOR APARTMENT : For up to 8 people.

These 2 apartments can be rented separately or together - therefore they are ideal for a couple, a family or a group of friends. Prices for renting this property for dates within the next 14 months can be viewed by scrolling down this page. 

Paynes Bay Apartments occupy both floors of an attractive, spacious, privately owned, 2 storey detached property.

 

THE LOCATION:-

Located just 50 metres from stunning Paynes Bay - within the parish of St. James - on Barbados' beautiful ‘platinum’ west coast. 

Paynes Bay is a white sand, palm tree-lined beach - washed by the crystal-clear blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. Here you can swim and snorkel with the turtles.

Paynes Bay BeachParasols, sun loungers, drinks and snacks are readily available on the beach. 

There is a tiny church on the corner of the road and further up the hill there are traditional Bajan chattel houses mixed in with stone-built villas. Palm trees, breadfruit trees, hibiscus plants and all kinds of tropical flowers abound.

You can buy fresh fish from the fishermen on beach across the road.

The Texaco Service Station is a 2 minute walk away. Here you can buy basic items such as water, bread, milk and juice - but not fruit and vegetables.  Jordan’s Supermarket is approximately a 20 minute walk/short bus ride away.

Superb restaurants abound on the west coast and a couple of excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance of the apartments. Should you wish to rub shoulders with the rich and famous, Sandy Lane - one of the most expensive and exclusive hotels in the world - is located in the next bay.

The bus stop is just across the road from the apartments and BDS$ 1.50 takes you to anywhere on the island. Sunset Crest & Holetown are a 20-25 minute walk - or a short bus ride away - to the north. Here you will find an excellent selection of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets plus other amenities including bars, banks, a supermarket, post office, medical centres, a cyber café and an air-conditioned shopping mall with duty free shops. 

Many water sports including jet-skiing, water-skiing, para-gliding, snorkelling and scuba diving are available locally. Several tennis courts are available for hire and 2 world-class golf courses - The Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane - are within easy reach.

 

THE ACCOMMODATION:-

Upstairs PatioThe Paynes Bay Apartments are decorated to a high standard with excellent facilities and an eye for style and comfort. There are many added personal touches such as the option of your very own housekeepers in order to make your experience that extra bit special. If you would like an evening of pampering and relaxation, they will be pleased to cook for you if you give them prior notice.

Sunbeams Back PorchSUNBEAMS has recently been refurbished - and the lounge refurnished. The apartment is entered via the shaded veranda at the front - furnished with a table and chairs. Two sets of double doors open into the spacious air-conditioned lounge/dining area. 

The lounge/dining room includes 2 sofas and an armchair, a coffee table, dining table and chairs, a ceiling fan, standing fan, satellite TV, a video, radio/CD player and a telephone for accepting incoming calls and Living Roommaking outgoing local calls - which are free. A safe is also provided for guests' valuables. 

This room opens into the bright and airy, well-equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, an oven & hob, a microwave, coffee maker, kettle, crockery, cutlery and glassware.

The air-conditioned master bedroom offers a double bed, a bedside table and lamp, a chest of drawers and wardrobes. This room benefits from an en suite wet room (suitable for a wheelchair user) with a shower and w.c. and there is a separate bath/shower/w.c. room off the hall.

Sunbeams Second BedroomThe 2nd air-conditioned bedroom offers a double bed, wardrobes, a ceiling fan and a standing fan. This room has access to a small, raised veranda  - with a table and chairs - that leads out to the garden.

The 3rd bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds, a ceiling fan and a bedside table and lamp.

SUNDANCE is accessed by a stairway to the first floor and is entered via the shaded balcony - furnished with a table and chairs. Two sets of double doors open into the large air-conditioned lounge/dining area. The high wooden ceilings throughout offer a very spacious and airy feel. 

Upstairs Dining AreaThe lounge/dining room includes 2 sofas and an armchair, coffee tables, a dining table and chairs, a small bar with 2 stools, a ceiling fan, satellite TV, a DVD player and a telephone for accepting incoming calls and making outgoing local calls - which are free. A safe is also provided for guests' valuables.  Upstairs Kitchen

The large kitchen is well-equipped and includes fridge/freezer, an oven & hob, a microwave, coffee maker, a kettle, crockery, cutlery and glassware.

Sundance Master BedroomThe air-conditioned master bedroom offers a double bed, bedside tables and lamps and wardrobes. This room benefits from an en suite bath/shower/w.c. room and there is a separate bath/shower/w.c. room off the hall.

The 2nd air-conditioned bedroom offers a double bed/ 2 single beds, a bedside table and lamp, a dressing table, wardrobes and a ceiling fan.

The 3rd bedroom is furnished with a double bed, a ceiling fan and a bedside table and lamp.

The 4th bedroom is furnished with a double bed/2 single beds and a bedside table and lamp.

There is a laundry room with a washer & tumble dryer. This room is accessed via a door that is opposite the kitchen in Sundance.

Guests staying in Sunbeams have access to the laundry room via the external staircase which is located on the side of the building. Your housekeeper, Debbie, has the keys to the exterior door of the laundry room, therefore guests staying in Sunbeams are required to contact her should they wish to use the washer & dryer.

There is a little walled garden with shrubs and perfumed flowers to the rear of the property for both apartments to share. There are chairs to relax and unwind in whilst enjoying cooling drinks and snacks. 

Debbie will give you a warm Bajan welcome on your arrival at the Paynes Bay Apartments and she will happily answer any questions that you may have regarding your stay in Barbados.

£ 62.15 per night.

Add £ 37.85 per night for the 2nd air-conditioned double bedroom.

Add £ 22.15 per night for the 3rd bedroom - twin beds (not air-conditioned).

 

 

To calculate the cost per person,

add together the rates for the bedrooms

required and divide by the total number

of people sharing.

  Minimum booking 5 nights.

A pre-arranged transfer from Grantley Adams Airport to the Paynes Bay Apartments (approx. 40 minutes drive).

Additional maid, cooking and babysitting services are available on request from the local staff at your own expense.

Credit card payments are not accepted at this time. (This is in order to keep the rates low and to avoid high bank charges for this small business).

A deposit cheque or Banker's Draft for 20% is required to secure a booking.

Please note that deposit payments are non-refundable.

Once I have received your deposit payment, I will send you a Booking Confirmation together with some car hire details which include a 10% discount on selected car rentals.

A cheque or Banker's Draft for the balance will be required 6 weeks prior to the date of your arrival at the Paynes Bay Apartments.

As with all holidays, travel insurance is strongly recommended.
