Alamanda is a very attractive, spacious, detached, privately owned villa located in Holetown on Barbados' beautiful 'platinum' west coast, within the parish of St. James.
The villa is situated in a quiet, palm tree-lined residential avenue
only 100 metres from the
superb white sandy beaches - washed by the crystal-clear blue waters of the Caribbean
Sea - where many water sports including scuba diving and snorkelling are available.
Alamanda's guests have authorised beach access through the
Discovery Bay Hotel which is just a 1 minute walk from the villa. This does not
give automatic access to Discovery Bay's swimming pool (photo below) but
many guests use this facility freely. If guests do decide to use the pool at
Discovery Bay, they are requested to use their discretion and perhaps buy
the occasional drink from the poolside bar.
Several local tennis courts are available for hire and 2 world-class golf
courses - The Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane - are within easy reach.
There is ample parking space directly
inside the gate at Alamanda, should guests wish to hire a car during
their stay.

 An
excellent selection of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets are located
in Sunset Crest & Holetown.
Other amenities including bars, banks, a supermarket, post office, medical
centres, a cyber café
and an air-conditioned shopping mall - with duty free shops - are also within
easy walking distance.
The lounge/dining area includes 2 comfortable 3-seater sofas, a coffee table, dining table and chairs, a 27 inch flat screen multi-choice TV, a VCR, CD/cassette/radio stereo system and a telephone for accepting incoming calls and making outgoing local calls - which are free. An additional telephone is located in the master bedroom. The well-equipped kitchen area includes a breakfast bar and 2 stools, a dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, an electric oven and gas hob, a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, an electric kettle, blender, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
The other 2 air-conditioned bedrooms each have 2 single beds that can be made up as double beds. Other facilities include fitted wardrobes and small safes for guests' valuables. 1 bedroom has a small chest of drawers and the other has a vanity unit and stool. These 2 bedrooms share a shower/w.c. room which is off the hallway. The owner's Barbados agent, will meet and greet you on your arrival at Alamanda and she will happily answer any questions that you may have regarding your stay in Barbados. If you
wish, your
housekeeper, Yvette, will prepare a light
snack/meal if you have ordered the optional grocery pack.
The rates shown above include full time maid service 6 days a week, all taxes, gas, electricity (including air-conditioning) linen and towels (including beach towels). OPTIONAL EXTRAS:-
A pre-arranged taxi transfer from Grantley Adams Airport to Alamanda (approx. 40 minutes drive). A babysitting service can be arranged with advance notice.

(This is in order to keep the rates low and to avoid high bank charges for this small business). A deposit cheque or Banker's Draft for 25% is required to secure a booking. Please note that deposit payments are generally non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation, any refunds that may be made will be dependent on individual circumstances. Once I have received your deposit payment, I will send you a Booking Confirmation together with some car hire details which include a 10% discount on selected car rentals. A cheque or Banker's Draft for the balance will be required 8 weeks prior to the date of your arrival at Alamanda. As with all holidays, travel insurance is strongly recommended. 10 to 14 days before you arrive in Barbados you will receive a useful information pack that includes 2 unique offers for use on my friends’ personalised boat trips, as well as maps and many general tips designed to help you get the most out of your holiday.
