Maria's Haven - For up to 5 people.

Maria’s Haven is a homely apartment on the upper floor of a detached, traditional, privately owned Bajan house. Maria, the owner, lives in the ground floor apartment for much of the year. This property is situated in a quiet residential avenue in the parish of Christ Church and close to The Barbados Golf Club.

The Co-op Taxi Company and 2 bus stops are only a 1 minute walk from the house. Frequent and inexpensive bus services run along the south coast and into Bridgetown and many rental companies operate in Barbados should you wish to hire a car during your stay.

Within a few minutes drive you will find a grocery store, a large supermarket (that offers a shuttle service to customers in nearby areas), a post office, banks and a petrol station.


Maria’s Haven is a 10 minute drive from the airport, a 5 minute drive from beautiful Miami/Enterprise Beach and just a 10 minute drive from the other lovely south coast beaches where many water sports - including wind surfing - are available. The famous fishing town of Oistins is a 20-25 minute walk/ a few minutes drive away.

The island’s capital Bridgetown - a 20 minute drive away - enjoys an enviable location beside the white sand beaches of Carlisle Bay. Waterfront bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, nightclubs, banks, air-conditioned shopping malls - with duty free shops - and a market are all to be found within the town.

Maria's Haven has an open plan living/dining/kitchen area and facilities include a ceiling fan, a portable standing fan and a TV (currently Cable TV).

The kitchen area is well-equipped and includes an oven & hob, microwave, a large fridge-freezer, an iron &  ironing board, crockery, cutlery and glassware. A washing machine is provided guests’ use within the utility room that is located in a corner of the garden.

The master bedroom is fitted with a double bed and a single bed and it benefits from an en suite shower/w.c. room. The second bedroom is also fitted with a double bed and there is a separate shower/w.c.room.

Outside, Maria’s Haven has a shaded veranda - ideal for relaxing and watching the sun go down. There is a small garden complete with washing lines and fruit trees to the rear.

Maria (or in her absence, her daughter, Gina, or one of her representatives) will meet and greet you on your arrival at Maria's Haven and they will happily answer any questions that you may have regarding your stay in Barbados.

Price promise: You should not find this property advertised for less anywhere else. If you do, please let me know. The RATES (in pounds sterling) for renting Maria's Haven are:- For lets of less than 1 month:- (To calculate the cost per person, please divide the rates by the number of people sharing).

1st January – 31st December

Up to 3 people: £ 30.00 per night.        4 people: £ 40.00 per night.        5 people: £ 50.00 per night.

These rates include all taxes, linen, towels, gas and electricity and the use of the telephone (for receiving incoming calls and making outgoing local calls – which are free). There is a pay phone just across the street for making overseas calls.

OPTIONAL EXTRA:-

Maid service BDS$ 80 per day - for however many days you require it - (payable locally).

Price promise: You should not find this property advertised for less anywhere else. If you do, please let me know.

The RATES (in pounds sterling) for renting Maria's Haven are:- 

For lets of 1 month or more:-

(To calculate the cost per person, please divide the rates by the number of people sharing).

1st January - 31st December

Up to 3 people: £ 720.00 per month.         4 people: £ 960.00 per month.           5 people: £ 1,200.00 per month.

Weekly & Daily rates are pro rata.

These rates include all taxes, linen, towels, gas and electricity and the use of the telephone (for receiving incoming calls and making outgoing local calls – which are free). There is a pay phone just across the street for making overseas calls.

OPTIONAL EXTRA:-

Maid service BDS$ 80 per day - for however many days you require it - (payable locally).

RESTRICTIONS:-

No pets.

No smoking in the apartment.

Credit card payments are not accepted at this time. (This is in order to keep the rates low and to avoid high bank charges for this small business).

A deposit cheque or Banker's Draft for 25% is required to secure a booking.

Please note that deposit payments are non-refundable.

Once I have received your deposit payment, I will send you a Booking Confirmation together with some car hire details which include a 10% discount on selected car rentals.

A cheque or Banker's Draft for the balance will be required 8 weeks prior to the date of your arrival at Maria's Haven.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

10 to 14 days before you arrive in Barbados you will receive a useful information pack that includes 2 unique offers for use on my friends’ personalised boat trips, as well as maps and many general tips designed to help you get the most out of your holiday.
