(To go directly to the current rates applicable to this property and a map of Porters Court, please scroll down this page).

# 3 Porters Court is one of just 8 secluded, privately owned villas set within their own tranquil and secure landscaped tropical gardens. The villas are centred around an attractive communal swimming pool complete with a sun deck, loungers and sunshades.

Located on the beautiful ‘platinum’ west coast of Barbados in the parish of St. James, Porters Court is less than 200 metres from the white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters of the Caribbean Sea.

ExteriorMany water sports, including scuba diving and snorkelling are available locally. There are several tennis courts available for hire, and for golf enthusiasts, two of the finest courses in the Caribbean – The Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane - are within easy reach.

The famous Lone Star Restaurant is just a short walk away, as is the world-renowned Royal Pavilion Hotel where you can sample the superb food and first class service on offer in the beach-front restaurant – an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Alternatively, you can just chill out with a cool drink and a bite to eat in Ju Ju's beach bar.

BedroomYou will find amenities such as bars, banks, a supermarket, post office, medical centres, a cyber cafe and an air-conditioned shopping mall with duty free shops in Sunset Crest & Holetown - just a short bus/car journey/half hour walk away - plus an excellent selection of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Several of the bars and restaurants have tables overlooking the sea – these are ideal locations for a cooling cocktail at sundown or a romantic meal. On the way from Porters Court to Holetown you will find a few bars - the famous Groots Bar & Restaurant is a 20 minute walk away.

Kitchen# 3 Porters Court is an attractive detached villa. It is very elegantly furnished to reflect colonial plantation-style living. Built along a traditional yet stylish chattel house design with high pickled pine ceilings, hardwood flooring and coral stone rendering. Both the interior and exterior of the villa were completely redecorated in 2008 when the original wooden veranda floor was replaced by an attractive stone one.

This modern, comfortable villa is air-conditioned throughout and there are ceiling fans in every room.

LoungeThe spacious living area opens out to both the front and side of the shaded L-shaped veranda furnished with a large table and comfortable chairs - ideal for al fresco dining - complete with a ceiling fan and blinds that help to block out the sun at the end of the day and provide more privacy. The hammock is the perfect place for peaceful relaxation watching the hummingbirds flitting between the exotic plants. A BBQ is provided for guests' use. There is also a little, private secluded garden to the rear of the villa.

Inside the villa, the lounge area offers a sofa, armchairs, a coffee table, Cable TV, a VCR, a DVD player a CD player and 2 telephones for accepting incoming calls and making outgoing local calls - which are free. A wireless Broadband connection is also available for guests.

PoolThe well-equipped kitchen area includes an oven & hob, a large fridge/freezer, microwave, a sandwich toaster, a filter coffee maker, an iron & ironing board, crockery, cutlery and glassware. A ‘stable door’ leads out to the garden.

The small utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink is located next to the kitchen. A powder room with a w.c. and hand basin is adjacent to that.

Both of the large bedrooms are beautifully decorated in muted, tropical tones.

Terrace Dining AreaThe master bedroom offers a queen size bed, fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and lamps and a dressing table - complete with a hairdryer and a CD player. This bedroom has an en suite 'walk-in' shower/w.c. room and direct access to the veranda.

"Dear Irene,

I would like to thank you for the perfect service offered to us. We had a fantastic time and the villa is delightful.

I will pass your details to all my friends.

Regards",

Federica - UK. April 2009.

"Camelot at Porters Court is a perfect retreat.

We had a wonderful time, the villa is so welcoming and altogether delightful .

Camelot is very well placed within this small development with very pretty and well-maintained gardens. Close, but not too close to the shared pool. Perfect for a family with two young kids as we were. A quiet place but you didn't feel you had to keep too quiet with children. Other guests ranged from a retired couple, to couples with teenagers, to couples with young kids like ours.

A 5 minute walk along the coast road (you can take a back route that takes only another couple of minutes) takes you to a very nice beach with good swimming. You can't hear the road as Porters Court is set back from it, behind a house, and Camelot itself is further protected by other villas.

The villa itself is very thoughtfully kitted out, the friendly owner has made sure you have everything you need and actually cares that you have a good stay. Accommodation is spacious and very comfortable. Lovely outside terrace for dining.

Exceptionally clean and well-maintained with a friendly maid.

We've stayed in lots of places in Barbados but Camelot came out on top for so many reasons. Fantastic value for the island considering the location and the excellent standard of accommodation.

Highly recommended."

Linda & family - UK. March/April 2009.

"I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say thank you. We had the best time on holiday (our most fun yet !) and it was made all the more special because of this gorgeous villa.

We really did have a wonderful time in Barbados.

When we turned up in the taxi we couldn't believe our luck, it was even better than I had imagined. Yvette was there to show us the ropes. The location is perfect, and our firm favourite for sunset drinks is now Ju Ju's.

We would most certainly want to stay in Camelot for any future trips to Barbados. Hopefully the next owners will want to let for holidays also.

Thanks again",

Hannah - UK. February/March 2009.

"We had a wonderful time, everything about the villa was perfect - absolutely no complaints whatsoever. We are already thinking of going back same time next year.

We really loved the island as well - having the jeep was great as we just whizzed off all over, so got a definite feel for the different parts of the island."

Sally – UK. February 2009.

"Hi,

Having a lovely time, kids loving the swimming pool and beach.

The villa is excellent, just what we like"...

Ivor – UK. December 2008.

"We had a lovely holiday and managed to do some different things this time.  It
was so nice getting up in the morning and going for a swim in the sea before
breakfast, even though we live close to the sea at home I don't think that
that is something we would ever do, it's too cold!

Andy and I both enjoy the slow pace of life in Barbados and I think because
of that the holiday doesn't seem to rush by, we obviously didn't want to
come home again, but we did feel that we had had a very relaxing break.

Thank you once again for letting us stay in your beautiful villa".

Andy & Mandy - UK. May 2008. (2nd visit).

“We all had a great time at Porters Court and we have no negative feedback whatsoever.

We think Camelot is an absolutely perfect retreat; casual, complete and informal. Near Ju Ju’s, Lone Star and The Tides. A perfect position ! Far enough from the south, yet within easy reach of Speightstown and Holetown.

All of the staff were pleasant, courteous and professional at their job with the special Barbados style. Yvette kept a low profile but was there enough to look after our interests diligently and discretely.

We will be in touch again for next time.

 Warmly !”

 David - UK. April 2008.

"We have recently returned from a fantastic two weeks at Camelot. The Villa and location was excellent and Yvette looked after us very well. Porters Court is close to the amenities of Holetown with its restaurants and shops, but a hidden haven of peace & tranquility. We spent hours just relaxing on the beautiful comfortable deck listening to the birds and around the pool area.

The gated location was perfect and safe for our two little girls to play and explore and enabled the adults to relax and have a holiday too! I would recommend this villa to everyone, but especially for families with young children. I read 4 books, quite an achievement with a 4 & 5 year old in tow! "

Kevin & Suzanne - UK. March 2008.

“We both want to thank you for the use of your lovely house. Camelot was so nice and relaxing and it helped to make an excellent holiday - could say it was too short but then it always is. We spent quite a bit of time on the beach near Ju Ju's, but also went up and down the coast and reminded ourselves what other areas are like, and we ate in a different restaurant each night and enjoyed all the nearby haunts.

The house was very well presented and Yvette made Betty very welcome before I got there, and Barbara was round the next day make sure we were fine - the house was all clean and tidy, and the pack very comprehensive and useful.

 Kind regards and many thanks”.

Betty and Graham – UK. March 2008.

"We have visited Barbados many times -staying in hotels - but recently have discovered the benefits and freedom of having a 'home-away-from-home'. Camelot delivers that and more.
The delightful property has a lovely position not only on the island but also in this small, friendly development, it is light, airy and cool. We found it comfortable, clean and stocked with everything you could need. Yvette the housekeeper is helpful and discreet, nothing is too much trouble.

The pool and gardens are immaculate, quiet and often all yours, it really is a peaceful place. However just a short walk and you are on the beach, a lovely stretch with great swimming, a beach bar & a top class restaurant. The bus runs from nearby too so you can easily reach Holetown or Bridgetown or head north to Speightstown.

I highly recommend Camelot, we will be back, actually I wish I was there right now! "

Michele & Gaby - UK. February 2008.

Superb villa and location. We had the most amazing stay in Camelot. The villa was perfect and provided us with an ideal home-from-home with all creature comforts, even down to towels for the beach! The staff at Porters were superb and our every need was catered for. The pool is beautiful with many loungers and sunshades surrounded by exotic palm trees.

Barbados is a magnificent holiday venue and is inhabited by the most friendly people imaginable. The island enjoys countless attractions; beautiful beaches, excellent restaurants and the perfect climate. Porters Court is an ideal base from which to explore the lovely surroundings.

We cannot wait to return to this idyllic and tranquil retreat and highly recommend it to all visitors to Barbados”.

 Annette - UK & NF – Ireland. December 2007.

“We had a fantastic time. The weather held out for us perfectly, not much rain at all.

The house and settings were perfect and we practically had the pool to ourselves.

The wedding went like a dream and we all had a fantastic day.

Thank you so much for a relaxing and most enjoyable time, we will certainly be coming back”.

 Michele & Mike – December 2007.

“This was our second visit to Camelot after our honeymoon 18 months ago. The villa is in a great location, handy for the beach and the shops. The pool is a great sunbathing spot and we often had it to ourselves.

Everything we needed was provided and the villa was kept very clean by the housekeeper.

We loved sitting in the hammock sipping rum and cokes ... if only every day was like this.
We will be back again!”

Sophie – London, UK. June 2007.

"Mandy and I would like to express our thanks for such a wonderful holiday, made perfect by the quality and homeliness of your villa in Barbados.  It was perfect in every sense and to enjoy breakfast with the birds, days on the beach and evenings in the variety of restaurants and bars, it was a shame to come home.

We celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary next year and I have to say that it is going to be a tall order to beat, so we may have to go back !"

Andy & Mandy - UK - May 2007.(1st visit).

"We had a wonderful holiday and really enjoyed staying in your gorgeous villa. The whole experience – from the wonderful customer service from Irene Ford to the 'hotel-style' efficiency of your property – was great. Thank you.

We have already recommended your villa to several of our friends!

 Take care,"

 JC - March 2007.

"We enjoyed our holiday at Camelot last year so we repeated it. Thanks."

ET - December 2006.

"Your property is gorgeous. You have captured the ideal for anyone on holiday. Everything thought of, from the structure (double veranda / hammock / air conditioning / ceiling fans) to the little things (boogie boards in the cupboard / full cutlery & utensil set / iron / UK plug points / telephone).

Then there were the things that made your apartment comfortable (nice furnishings - very thorough – candles / coasters / hairdryers / books and games / DVD AND VCR). Space. Peace. Quiet".

MM - Sept/Oct. 2006.

Hello Irene, Camelot was in a perfect location and we felt completely at home as soon as we arrived".

NW - May 2006.

"Hi Irene, Loved the Villa. Very nicely built & designed. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The area/restaurants etc. were just right. All our transport - taxis/rental car went without a hitch.

Many thanks for your organisation. Would we come again - of course".

RR - May/June 2006.

We got married in June 2004 and spent our honeymoon at Camelot. We had a fabulous two weeks in a picturesque setting near to great beaches and restaurants yet we could still rustle up a romantic dinner at ‘home’ when we wanted to.

The facilities at Camelot are great, the pool is a good size and depth and all the fixtures and fittings were excellent, we especially loved the lazy times in the hammock watching the small birds eating fruit very close to us.

The information pack available when we arrived was just what we needed and it enabled us to plan beach trips and restaurants and told us everything we needed to know about the area.

The one problem is trying to figure out when we can go back!!"

SR - July 2004 .

"We have just returned from Camelot and the first thing I want to do is congratulate you on your first rate home from home. We have had a fantastic week. The holiday was made special by the intricate details Camelot has to offer. You have impeccable taste and deserve hearty congratulations.

The detail in the welcome notes was ideal.... they are obviously regularly updated. The staff were wonderful, friendly and attentive yet perfectly discreet. We sampled the finer points including your very special hammock which became my relaxing and reading spot - I will really miss it. I hope we can come again soon".

 MW - March 2004 .

"The villa was wonderful. Having rented cottages many times in this country where you have to take everything with you, we were really surprised and delighted that whoever owns the villa seems to have thought of and provided everything we could possibly have needed. It was extremely comfortable and clean.

I would have absolutely no reservation in recommending the villa and Barbados to everyone we know (indeed we are doing it already). When we go back, and I have no idea how soon it will be, we would love Camelot again as it was so perfect."

MB - October 2003 .
